We made it!

Image
Hello all! We arrived in Columbus, Nebraska around 4:59pm, unpacked, and headed upstairs for their 6pm "Ignite" service followed by dinner. We got a tour of the facility, played lots and lots of (very intense) games and got a preview of the week. They have not one, but two (2!!) foosball tables!! (If you don't remember, in 2017 during our local mission trip we started playing very intense and competitive games of foosball and have been addicted ever since). We are looking forward to the week and will update you as we go! Here are some pictures of our drive up... Planning for the Trip

The days are flying past as we work on final plans for this year's mission trip.  Howard has been coordinating with Hollie Tapley for our worksites and with First United Methodist Church in Columbus, NE for our lodging.  We will head out after church on June 30th.  The good news today is that I-29 has opened up - that should help make travel easier. It isn't too late to decide to join us - it's going to be a great week.  Plans for meals, devotions, and 4th of July activities are being finalized.  Since we don't know exactly what we are going to be doing, we plan on purchasing supplies once we get to Columbus.  This has the added benefit of helping their economy.  If you would like to contribute toward the trip and supplies, you can mark your offering "Mission Trip" and putting it in the offering plate over the next few weeks. We will be blogging each evening on the trip so you can follow our adventures.  As always, your prayers are greatly app...
